Commercial Training Program – Position Description

GE Lighting in India is looking for highly driven individuals who are passionate about driving sales and business development. Selected candidates will get trained “on the job” in end to end Commercial activities while working under the supervision of Senior Sales Managers.

Job function :

• Visit potential customers, channel partners, contractors, specifiers/architects for generating sales leads
• Make proposals based on the requirements in a timely manner working closely with Senior Sales Managers/ Product Managers / Pricing Manager.
• Negotiate with customers to close the sale
• Coordinate with Operations team to ensure the Sales Order is processed in the system and the material is delivered on time
• Collect payment from Customers

Education:

• Bachelor or Masters degree (or equivalent) from any of the following disciplines – Engineering, Business, Marketing, Economics or Sales

Desired Qualifications:

• Good communication skills – verbal and written
• Good team player
• Good analytical capability
• Externally focused with a customer centric approach to solve problems
• Willing to travel 80%+ of the time mostly in the local market
• Quick learner
